Podleski Construction was founded by my wife and I in June of 2023. However I have been in the landscape and construction industry for approximately 6.5 years.

Both options are great options for your fence, however Western Red Cedar has a life span of 20-30 years with proper treatment. Japanese Cedar will have a lifespan of 15-20 years, also with proper treatment. Majority of fences you see in any given neighborhood in Rockwall, TX area has Japanese Cedar pickets. With Japanese Cedar you get almost the same look and life span all the while missing out of the cost of Western Red Cedar pickets.

Typically, a regular sized fence (around 150' long) will take up to 2.5-3 days to complete (after permit is approved). However, access, terrain, and job complexity can add time.

Yes, based on the city you are in and the scope of work a permit will be required by the

city. This is included in our quotes. As a contractor, in order to pull a permit we have to register with the city. Which is basic information regarding the business such as address, trades,

insurance, etc. Once registered we can begin to pull the permit, the permit will have basic info regarding the project specifications and the cities requirements.
